HOW TO FIND THE CATMAN2 SHELTER (by appointment only, 828-293-0892)
We welcome visitors and volunteers but ask that you please call first. We're open by appointment because Catman2 is a unique shelter with only one employee and cannot be here at all times as there are many chores and errands to take care of daily.

Directions
(It is best if you print all the directions below – they refer to one another!)
In Cullowhee From Rt. 107…..About one mile south of Western Carolina University turn right onto Cullowhee Mt. Road (at stoplight). Pass the new Jackson County Recreation Center. About one and a half miles from Rt. 107 the road will fork – go right onto Tilley Creek Rd. Go approximately 100 feet and make an immediate right turn at Bo Cove Road (sign is often missing but it is the first paved road right next to Cullowhee Valley Baptist Church). Go one half mile. Look for the cat mailboxes on the left – a sign on the tree reads “TABBY ROAD”. Pull in and the large green building in the center is the cat shelter. Come in the gate. No one there? Remember, we only operate by appointment. Please call 828-293-0892 to schedule a time in which we can be here to meet with you. From Brevard, Highlands, Franklin, Toxaway, etc. Follow Route 64 to the crossroads in Cashiers. Then take Highway 107 North toward Sylva.. From 64 turn right if going west. Turn left if going east. Follow 107 north for about 20 miles. Stay on the main road. Do not follow signs to Cullowhee. You will soon come to a traffic light. (The only one after you leave Cashiers) At that light turn left onto Cullowhee Mt. Road and follow directions above. From Sylva You may have come west from Asheville or east from Bryson City. Take Rt. 107 South past Western Carolina University. Then follow the directions from Cullowhee above. From I-40 From I-40, take Exit 27 (Clyde Exit) and follow signs to Waynesville and Sylva, you are on Hwys 23/74, then take Exit 85. After you have exited you will pass a hospital. Continue for about 1/2 of a mile and you will reach a stoplight where you must turn either left or right. Turn left to Cullowhee and the University. You are now on 107 going south. Go past the University and follow the directions from Cullowhee above. From Highway 441 If you are coming North from Georgia or Franklin, NC Follow 441 North over the mountain. You will come to Rt. 116 Follow Rt. 116 through Webster until you come to Highway 107. Ingles will be on your right. Turn right on 107 and travel past Western Carolina University. Follow directions above. From Bryson City and Points West When you reach Rt. 441 which runs into 74/23 follow the 4 lane to the Sylva Exit (Exit 85) From there follow directions “From I-40″ above.
